Terms of Service

Welcome to AstroSamay. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AstroSamay mobile application and related services. By using AstroSamay, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using AstroSamay, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years old (or have parental consent in your jurisdiction)
• You have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

2. Description of Service

AstroSamay provides Vedic astrology services including:

• Kundli (birth chart) generation and analysis
• Divisional charts (D1 through D60)
• Daily Panchang (Hindu almanac) calculations
• Personalized predictions, mantras, and remedies
• Unlimited chat with Pandit Ji for guidance
• Articles, Suktis (Sanskrit wisdom), and festival information

3. User Account

3.1 Registration

To access most features, you must create an account using Google Sign-In and provide accurate birth details (date, time, location). Inaccurate data may result in incorrect chart calculations.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding access to your Google account. Notify us immediately at support@astrosamay.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

3.3 One Account per Person

You may not create multiple accounts to abuse the service or evade restrictions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use AstroSamay to:

• Violate any law or regulation in your jurisdiction
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or our staff
• Send spam, malware, or harmful content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract content beyond the public API
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Generate harmful, illegal, or sexually explicit content via chat
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without written permission

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content provided by AstroSamay, including articles, suktis, mantras, daily horoscopes, app UI, branding, and code, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Sanskrit and Public-Domain Content

Sanskrit shlokas, Vedic scriptures, and classical texts used in our content are in the public domain. Our compilation, translation, transliteration, and editorial commentary are our intellectual property.

5.3 Your Content

You retain ownership of personal data you provide (birth details, chat messages). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use this data solely to provide our services as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Pandit Ji Chat Disclaimers

The "Pandit Ji" chat assistant provides guidance using your astrological chart data and Vedic knowledge. While we strive for accuracy and authenticity:

• Responses may contain inaccuracies or errors
• Pandit Ji is not a substitute for a qualified human Vedic astrologer
• We are not responsible for decisions you make based on responses
• For life-changing decisions, consult qualified human professionals

7. Astrology Disclaimer

Vedic astrology, as practiced and presented in AstroSamay, is a traditional system of knowledge spanning thousands of years. We respect this tradition deeply. However:

• Predictions are not guaranteed outcomes
• Astrology offers guidance, not certainty, your free will, effort, and karma matter most
• We do not predict death, severe illness, or specific tragic events
• Results vary based on chart accuracy, interpretive tradition, and individual karma

8. Subscriptions and Payments

AstroSamay offers the following plans:

• Pro, ₹99/month introductory: Full access to unlimited astrology guidance, Kundli analysis, daily Panchang, and all 9 language options. The ₹99 price applies to your first 12 monthly payments; the subscription then renews at ₹990/month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through Google Play.
• Lifetime, ₹999 one-time: Everything in Pro, forever, with no future renewals. Includes priority responses, annual forecast reports, and all future premium features

Additional terms:

• Prices and terms are clearly disclosed before purchase
• Monthly subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Refunds are handled per Google Play Store / Apple App Store policies
• Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete My Account, our web page (astrosamay.app/delete-account), or email request to support@astrosamay.app.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• You abuse the service (excessive usage, automated tools, harassment)
• Required by law or government order

10. Limitation of Liability

AstroSamay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are NOT liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or emotional distress
• Damages arising from decisions you make based on app content
• Third-party service disruptions (Google, Supabase, VedAstro, etc.)

Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold AstroSamay, its team, and partners harmless from any claims arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

12. Modifications to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate major changes via in-app notification or email.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be notified via in-app banner or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of New Delhi, India. Before resorting to litigation, we encourage informal resolution via support@astrosamay.app.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full effect.
